The boys from South Plainfield! Been together since 8th grade and still going strong in their early '20s. They took 5th place in the 2007 NJ Battle of the Bands held at the Starland Ballroom in Sayerville, NJ. I've recorded them both in my home studio and live in fact you'll hear a few of the tracks on their MySpace page. They are currently in a NYC studio finishing up a 3 song demo. Talented bunch - give 'em a listen!

My newly rediscovered childhood friend who also still suffers from G.A.S. 30 years later! Check out his remastered tunes with his rock band "Cyclops" from the 1970s and some current stuff from his home studio. Jimmy has launched a cool site for the remastered tracks of Cyclops original album and now available on various online music download services.

One of the fastest growing guitar companies in north american and for good reason! Remember the Airline brand name from the catalog giant, Montgomery Ward? Great reissues of the guitars that the baby boomers started out with in the early '60s! They even introduced an Airline lap steel model. Very cool! I became a contributor for the MyRareGuitars monthly newsletter as of April 2008.
Reader's Links What exactly is that behind the wheel? The Reverb King of course! Jim emailed and questioned my opening #s. Only 10 to have a serious case of G.A.S. he asked? Not per Jim...somewhere between 20-30 or when the wife brings up that ugly word. Being a smart guy Jim switched to vintage amps! Very talented fella so be sure to give his site a peek.
Those who share the affliction!

Rob has a serious case of Gibson AAS (Amp Acquisition Syndrome)! It was so bad he started a Gibson amp discussion forum. He handled the restoration and recover of his prized GA-70 Country Western (seen above). If you want to share your Gibson amps with like minded folks, stop by his site and join a discussion group!

Eric's comprehensive site dedicated to Grimshaw, who manufactured guitars in the UK from 1930-1980, is well worth a visit. They manufactured everything from archtops to solidbodies and lap steel guitars. Also, they distributed the Premiervox brand bakelite lap steel with parts obtained from Rickenbacher including the prewar 1.5" horse shoe pickup. Fascinating stuff and Eric certainly has a serious case of G.A.S.!

The man behind Eastwood Guitars, Mike has a serious collection of vintage guitars from the '60s to the '80s. Not only has his company perfected the reissue of classic Airline models but his website offers tons of great photos and information for the guitar lover!

Walt has a very serious case of National and Martin G.A.S. He controlled his disease for almost 30 years but a digeridoo caused a relapse and the rest is history. Be sure to check out Walt's fine music and his guitar collection. The man can play the blues!

Jeff started a blog called, "Guitar Hunter - Adventures in Guitar Hunting". He talks about guitars, amps, etc. that he owns with pictures as well. Personally, I'm not much of a blogger as all those advertisements make me dizzy <LOL> but Jeff has grabbed a piece of the internet to talk about his collection. Sound familiar? Another guy with a bad case of G.A.S.!
