THOSE THAT GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE NAME OF G.A.S.!
Post G.A.S. Gallery
A selection of 120 instruments that made a pit stop through my collection. They will be updated periodically as almost 8 years and hundreds of instruments later there are a lot of photos! The guitars and amps cover a 60 year period between the 1930s and 1990s. Lots of Gibsons of course but plenty of other manufacturers that you will recognize.
Every vintage guitar or amp evokes some basic questions - Who was the previous owner(s) and where has it traveled? Was it played by a gigging musician or used just for pleasure? Are the battle scars and cigarette burns from some southwest honky tonk, a local juke joint in a faceless midwest town or just the kids were bored one day? If the instrument could talk just think of the stories it could tell. Every one is a little piece of american musical instrument history that continues to live on in the hands of its new owner!

I found a bunch of 3.5" floppy disks (remember those?) from my early eBay endeavors. Once I cranked up a retired PC with a floppy drive I found a treasure trove of photos. Unfortunately the quality is not quite up to the others that grace this site as they were taken with a very early 1 megapixel Polariod camera. Actually, think of this page as a snapshot history of digital photography with 1, 2, 3 and 5 megapixel cameras used over the past 8 years. Stay tuned......more photos to come!
